Senior year opens with Charley Hicks arriving in her boyfriend East’s pickup truck, ready to run the school newspaper, the ‘Bred Bulletin.
The same week, Head of School Audre Robinson learns that $7.321 million — more than a quarter of Tiffin’s $26 million budget — is gone, lost when financial advisor Oak Bellamy’s cryptocurrency venture collapsed.
New faces arrive too: college counselor Mav, history teacher Coop, scholarship student Liam Donovan, and glamorous New York day student Pippa Sacks.
At Chapel, star quarterback Dub Austin comes out as gay in his senior speech, honoring Cinnamon Peters, who died by suicide the year before.
At First Dance, Pippa’s sheer body stocking turns heads, and Honor Board chair Taylor Wilson is caught sneaking toward the Schoolhouse with football star Hakeem Pryce — security chief Michael James lets them go.
In October, Davi learns her parents in London are divorcing, and English teacher Rhode Rivera meets a woman known only as “S” at a Haydensboro dive bar.
Audre, under pressure, authorizes Oak to chase the losses with aggressive AI stocks. After the Halloween dance, Audre and Coop share their first kiss.
November brings early decision applications and the annual Old Bennington football game, where opponents taunt Dub with homophobic slurs.
A bench-clearing brawl follows until Hakeem steps in to defend Dub, restoring their friendship. Over Thanksgiving, Davi and Liam grow close, while Charley watches her stepfather Joey carry on an affair in Baltimore.

Then comes “the Haydensboro Massacre” — Pippa’s off-campus party ends with a bed fire and fourth-former Grady Tish hospitalized from an overdose.
The Honor Board votes to expel Pippa, whose mother Sondra is revealed as Rhode’s secret “S.” Pippa’s father Erik offers Audre a bribe to keep her enrolled; Audre refuses.
Midway through The Thoroughbreds, in January, Charley discovers the teenager involved with Joey was Tiffin senior Tilly Benbow, who promptly withdraws.
Taylor realizes she is pregnant after a single encounter with Hakeem. On the drive to a clinic, she miscarries in a gas station restroom.
February brings an Instagram rumor linking Charley to Mav, and a flat tire stretches their museum trip into hours alone.
Mav’s comments about her relationship with East cross a line. When East confronts her, Charley raises his past misconduct with former teacher Simone Bergeron, and the couple breaks up.
March moves the story to Harbour Island for spring break, where Taylor finally tells Hakeem about the pregnancy and miscarriage. Dub finds that his boyfriend Calhoun opened Cinnamon’s sealed email file.
Back on campus, Olivia and Grady hack the school server and uncover a secret contract: board president Jesse Eastman promised a $20 million donation in exchange for special treatment of his son.
April brings regular decisions — Charley into Harvard, East into Babson, Olivia into High Point. Tiffin marks its 115th anniversary with a VIP party inside “Priorities,” the speakeasy East built in a former bomb shelter.
Hilderbrand and Cunningham close the year in May.
Audre confesses the missing millions to Jesse Eastman, who forgives her because she protected his son and refused the Sacks bribe, covers the deficit, and fires Oak.
The Louisiana plan dissolves when Coop’s daughter takes a job with the New England Patriots, and Mav departs to reconcile with his ex-wife.
On Prize Day, valedictorian Charley leads the class out, and Dub takes the altar to play the email attachment Cinnamon left behind: her acoustic recording of Jason Mraz’s “Have It All,” a final blessing for her classmates. The graduates celebrate by jumping into Jewel Pond.
