The Fury of the Gods Summary: The Deep Dive
SPOILER WARNING: This section reveals major plot events, including the ending.
Bloodsworn Reckoning
Varg No-Sense recovers from the battle at Iskidan alongside the Bloodsworn. A magical rite exposes how his sister Frøya died.
She was caught trying to escape, nailed to a tree, and gutted on Drekr’s orders. Varg sets his sights on Brák Trolls-Bane, the hunter who held the blade.
Captive and Vengeful
Orka Skullsplitter remains a prisoner of Rotta, the cruel rat-god. Rotta tortures her for information about the wolf-god Ulfrir’s location.
When Brák returns with Spert in a sack, Rotta kills the vaesen in front of Orka. Orka retaliates by ripping Myrk’s throat out with her wolf-jaws during a duel.
Her companions launch a rescue. They escape with Jarl Orlyg and preserve Spert’s body in salt for burial at Fellur.
Elvar’s Chainbreaking
At Snakavik, Elvar Fire-Fist claims her dead father’s throne. After reclaiming stolen treasure and killing the traitor Ingvild, she faces a deeper choice.
She publicly frees Ulfrir from his thrall-collar. She also frees all her Berserkir and Tainted thralls, rejecting her father’s tyranny.
The wolf-god leads them to the Wolfdales for protection from Lik-Rifa’s sky-eyes.

The Siege Begins
Lik-Rifa’s horde—trolls, skraelings, frost-spiders, night-hags, and cultists—marches on the Wolfdales. The Bloodsworn hit the camp in a night raid but fall back when the dragon-god arrives.
Lik-Rifa smashes the coalition fleet to splinters. Inside the hall, Broðir stabs Elvar before escaping. Rotta later kills her from behind during a collapsing battle.
Gods Fall
Snaka, the father of the gods, rises from Snakavik and slithers to Wolfdales. Rotta and Lik-Rifa betray him almost immediately.
They poison his food and slit his throat. Rotta carves out the god’s heart, but a tennúr snatches it away.
Gelta, an awakened Froa-spirit, traps Lik-Rifa with her roots. Taras hurls the poisoned severed head of Hrung into the dragon’s open mouth, killing her.
Vengeance Paid
Varg defeats Brák and lets the Tainted children execute him. Lif kills Guðvarr to avenge his father and brother. Orka paralyzes Drekr with frost-spider venom and guides her son Breca in sliding the seax into Drekr’s throat.
Glornir, chief of the Bloodsworn, dies from wounds caused by Lik-Rifa’s claws. He perishes in Vol’s arms. The survivors carry his body and Spert’s back to Fellur.
They bury both beside Thorkel and vow to rebuild a free home where their children can grow without thrall-collars.
