All Her Fault Summary: The Full Story With Spoilers

Spoiler warning: This section recounts the entire plot, including the ending.

On a Friday in November 2018, Marissa Irvine arrives at 14 Tudor Grove to collect her son Milo from his first playdate.

The homeowner, Esther, says no child named Milo lives there. Marissa tries to reach Jenny Kennedy, who arranged the playdate by text, but the number is out of service.

Marissa learns that Jenny is in Paris and knew nothing about a playdate. At school, teacher Mr. Williams says Milo was collected by his nanny, Ana Garcia.

Ana arrives and says it was her day off. Mr. Williams then admits he actually saw Milo leave with Jacob Kennedy’s nanny, Carrie Finch.

Police led by Detective Sergeant McConville begin searching for Carrie and Milo. Jenny returns from Paris and finds a hidden photo of criminal Kyle Byrde in Carrie’s room.

Carrie’s estranged mother Irene reveals that Carrie is the daughter of career criminal Rob Murphy.

Milo’s green dinosaur raincoat is found on rocks at Killiney Hill. Fears grow that he was thrown into the sea. Ana Garcia confesses that Carrie questioned her about the Irvines’ wealth, home layout, routines, and Milo’s allergies.

A body with severed hands and a beaten face is found in North Wall. The victim is identified as Danny Vaughan, also known as Kyle Byrde. Milo is then found alive and physically unharmed in a locked rental car in Sandymount. His hair has been dyed brown.

Milo describes being kept in a red-brick bungalow with no stairs. Carrie dyed his hair, called him a robin, and took a passport photo. Shortly after, Carrie is found smothered with a pillow in that bungalow.

Peter’s sister Lia spots Marissa’s law partner Colin Dobson sitting opposite Carrie in a Facebook photo. Marissa finds that Colin embezzled over half a million euros from client estates. Colin and Rob Murphy are later found shot dead in an industrial estate.

Peter swapped the infants and raised Carrie’s son as Milo. Carrie discovered the truth and planned the kidnapping with Kyle Byrde.

To protect the secret, Peter smothered Carrie, framed Colin, and killed Colin and Rob Murphy.

Marissa lies to police to keep Milo. Six months later, Peter dies suddenly in Spain from anaphylactic shock after Marissa feeds him food containing shellfish stock.
