That night, an unknown number sends Zoe a midnight text: “Run.” Zoe recognizes the signal and activates a contingency plan she has kept for over eight years.
She drives to an all-cash storage unit in Kellsville, swaps her Jeep Cherokee for a white van, changes into a wig and work clothes, and heads into the mountains.
When Zoe misses the interview at the lake, Olivia grows alarmed. Zoe’s husband, personal trainer Dylan Sanders, reports her missing to the Scarlet Falls Police Department.
