In the epilogue, Lena is tortured for thirty days in a Halsted dungeon, sustained only by Silas’s final words. She repeats “I will not break” as her mantra.
In the book’s final moments, she is rescued by a mysterious group. As her vision clears, she sees a man with grey eyes standing beside her.
She discovers that Quill Callon, Silas’s biological father, is alive—and that Silas himself has somehow survived.
