⚠️ Spoiler Warning: This section contains detailed, chapter-by-chapter plot summaries.

Prologue: The Boy (Tait)

Sixteen-year-old Tait waits in a damp prison cell in the earth fae realms following the sea fae’s defeat in the Great War.

Despite cracked ribs and bodily pain, his primary anxiety centers on whether his young cousin, King Erik Bloodsinger, survived the purge.

Guarded by earth fae warriors who offer unexpected quietness, Tait is bound in heavy chains and led into the great hall. There, he locks eyes with young Princess Mira, whose girlish innocence conceals a shadow of deep trauma mirroring his own.

The guards lead Tait toward the shore for banishment. The young boy vows never to abandon his king, regardless of the dark future awaiting them beneath the sea.

Chapter 1: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Tait Heartwalker receives a missive from Ever King Erik Bloodsinger commanding him to escort Princess Mira Sekundär whenever she chooses to set sail.

Irritated by the order and frustrated by his unwanted fixation on the princess, Tait takes out his aggression on his crewman Swordeater.

He reflects on his deep distrust of glamour fae, remembering that the killing blow against his abusive father came from House Sekundär. Swordeater attempts to deliver urgent news about Mira, but Tait repeatedly silences him.

When Swordeater finally reveals that Mira was attacked in the woods, Tait realizes his error and sprints down the gangplank to protect her.

Chapter 2: The Illusionist (Mira)

Princess Mira stands near the riverbank reading a kelp-weed parchment from King Erik, cursing him for placing her under Tait’s escort.

After bidding farewell to the merwoman Vanna, Mira is suddenly ensnared by Filib, a rogue sea singer whose magical song draws out overwhelming, involuntary lust.

Trapped in the trance, Mira loses control until Lord Gorm and Dunker the troll discover her. Tait arrives, cuts through Filib’s enchantment, and shields Mira from the sea singer’s power.

Before losing consciousness, Mira opens her eyes to look into Tait’s true gaze, whispering that he couldn’t stay away from her.

Chapter 3: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Tait experiences a severe surge of phantom pain and physical revulsion after touching Mira, fighting to mask his touch-aversion from surrounding warriors.

Lord Gorm carries the unconscious princess back to the palace while Queen Saga thanks Tait for saving her daughter.

Tait downplays his actions, maintaining a stony demeanor to hide how deeply the incident unsettled his guarded isolation. Returning to his ship, he reflects on the traumatic abuse he suffered under his dead father, Harald Songtaker.

Despite his efforts to ignore Mira, her vulnerability during the attack haunts his thoughts, driving him to seek vengeance against the sea singer who harmed her.

Chapter 4: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Driven by rage and protective instinct, Tait tracks down Filib the sea singer in the dark woods. Ignoring Filib’s pleas, Tait brutally executes the sea singer, severing his head and wiping the blood clean.

He wraps Filib’s head in linens along with a rare bone dagger carved from a Star Peaks boar tusk. Tait attaches a brief missive reading “For your revenge” and has the parcel delivered to Mira’s chambers.

He rationalizes the execution as duty to protect his royal charge, though he privately fears how much Mira is pulling him from his carefully constructed solitude.

Chapter 5: The Illusionist (Mira)

Mira unwraps the parcel and is shocked to discover Filib’s severed head and the boar-tusk dagger. Recognizing the gesture as Tait’s brutal form of protection, she hides the package and prepares for her journey to the Ever Seas.

Her protective father, King Ari Sekundär, enters to banter about palace politics. Fate King Silas and Fate Queen Calista arrive; Calista takes Mira aside and warns her that a song of fate is shaping for her that sounds like the sea.

Mira tries to brush off the prophecy, but as she walks past the docks and sees the Sea Void, her heart leaps with nervousness and hidden anticipation.

Chapter 6: The Illusionist (Mira)

Still shaken by Filib’s head, Mira examines the fine boar-tusk blade, wondering why the killer chose such a rare Star Peaks weapon. She continues packing for a fortnight’s stay with Queen Livia, attempting to hide her anxiety from her father.

King Ari notices her frenzied behavior and expresses ongoing distrust of sea fae, particularly Harald’s son. Mira defends the new peace between realms, recalling how her father scoured maps in darkness when Livia was kidnapped.

She conceals her growing obsession with Tait, fearing that if her father realized her feelings, he would use his power to keep them apart.

Chapter 7: The Illusionist (Mira)

The palace ballroom fĂŞte takes place inside a massive mystical oak trunk outfitted with domed glass ceilings and a running crystal stream. Mira converses with her friend Tobias, who notices her absence from the dance floor.

When Stormbringer and the Ever Crew enter, Tobias offers to approach Tait and ask him for a dance to test his intentions. Tait rudely shuts down Tobias’s approach, prompting Mira to confront him directly.

Tait sarcastically claims she always thinks the worst of him, dismissing her so harshly that tears sting Mira’s eyes as she flees the ballroom.

Chapter 8: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Tait experiences an unfamiliar bite of remorse after witnessing the genuine hurt on Mira’s face when she fled. Queen Saga approaches him in the corridor, warning him to stop fighting the tale fate has laid out for him and Mira.

Searching the root-lined palace, Tait discovers Mira alone on a rose-glass balcony. They engage in sharp, venomous banter, but Tait finds himself enjoying the fierce fire in her eyes far more than her quiet sadness.

Mira demands he meet her at first light to set sail, leaving Tait terrified of how easily she is unraveling his guarded existence.

Chapter 9: The Illusionist (Mira)

At first light, Mira meets Tait in the palace grove for an aggressive sparring match. They clash with steel blades, movements fluid and dangerous as mutual attraction and frustration fuel every strike.

During a close grapple, Mira presses her body against Tait’s, sensing his immediate rigid tension and sudden recoil. Though she mocks his reaction, Mira feels a sharp pang, realizing the only man who pierced her heart seems revolted by her touch.

She boards the Sea Void, dreading days trapped aboard a ship under his command with no escape.

Chapter 10: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Tait flees to a hot spring after the spar, kneeling in the steam as he realizes touching Mira did not trigger his usual poisonous nausea. Onboard the Sea Void, the crew prepares for departure while Mira arrives with grand coaches and emotional farewells.

That evening, Mira asks the crew to play sea shanties; despite Tait’s grumbling, the crew eagerly plays music and dances for her. Nightseer offers Mira fishbone pipe smoke, but she admits herb smoke makes her sick.

Hearing her confession, Tait immediately steps away and secretly crushes his own herb smoke beneath his boot heel.

Chapter 11: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Late at night on the quarterdeck, Mira approaches Tait to apologize for her behavior under the sea singer’s trance. Tait dismisses her apology and reveals that their true first encounter occurred ten years ago after the war, when he saw her as a young girl standing over dead flesh with a knife.

Mira’s eyes widen as she recalls her family’s traumatic ties to Davorin, the dark fae traitor. Tait’s defensive retorts cut the conversation short, driving Mira away in emotional pain.

Watching her retreat into the galley, Tait berates himself for pushing her away yet again.

Chapter 12: The Illusionist (Mira)

Cowering in the galley, Mira inspects her chest for emotional bruises, deeply hurt by Tait’s harsh rejection. She inhales lavender oils to combat sea-sickness while reflecting on Tait’s heroic history, including how he nearly died protecting Queen Livia from Larsson Bonekeeper.

Suddenly, an unnatural pitch-black storm thrashes the Sea Void, defying all nautical logic. Screams of sea monsters rattle beyond the deck as the ship is torn apart.

Tait bursts into the cabin, grabs Mira around the waist, and shoves them both through the shattered glass window into the violent ocean waves below.

Chapter 13: The Illusionist (Mira)

Mira regains consciousness inside a dark, damp sea cavern surrounded by ominous night and crashing tides. Tait explains that the unnatural storm blew them severely off course into the uncharted Far Seas, completely destroying their ship.

Panicking over the fate of the crew and lack of supplies, Mira breaks into frantic questions until Tait firmly grips her wet hair and vows to get her back to the Ever.

Despite suffering a split head and body aches, Mira insists on helping plan their survival. They agree to scout the island and gather materials to build a raft.

Chapter 14: The Illusionist (Mira)

Exploring the island’s lush shoreline, Mira repeatedly slips on slick stones before stepping directly into a pocket of sinking sand. Tait rushes to pull her out, but the carnivorous sand latches onto his legs as well, dragging them both beneath the surface.

As the sand pulls them under, Mira summons her glamour magic, enduring intense physical ache to project an illusion of a flock of birds. The illusion distracts the sand’s magic long enough for them to break free.

Covered in mud, they collapse together on the shore, sharing a breathless moment of relief and teasing banter.

Chapter 15: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Tait climbs the island’s central slope to map their location, determining a rough trajectory back toward the Ever. Returning to the cavern, he finds that Mira has prepared a meal of bluefin fish with sweet woodsy sap dipping sauce, decorating their stone table with leaves and blossoms.

Surprised by her refusal to live like savages, Tait eats the dry fish and appreciates her intense effort. He admits that danger steals his focus, and Mira celebrates learning a personal detail about him.

When Tait asks why she never uses his given name, Mira softly replies that it is a sad story for another time.

Chapter 16: The Illusionist (Mira)

Tait catches Mira high in a slender tree trying to harvest moss to braid into rope, spraining her wrist in the process. He angrily scolds her for risking her life, but Mira breaks down in tearful exhaustion, admitting how suffocating it is trying to measure up to her legendary parents.

Tait gently challenges her need to be someone else and uses his tunic to fashion a comfortable sling for her arm.

His unexpected gentleness touches Mira deeply, making her realize her feelings for him are growing beyond her control.

Chapter 17: The Heartwalker (Tait)

At dawn, Tait wakes Mira and takes her to a large freshwater pond in the island’s interior so she can soak her sprained wrist. Along the trail, Mira excitedly collects feathers, shells, and leaves, which Tait patiently carries for her.

He explains how King Erik’s boneweaver Murdock built immunity to poison, making Mira laugh. While sitting by the pond, horrifying shrill screams echo through the island forest.

Tait immediately steps in front of Mira, warning her to stay close as they head toward the noise.

Chapter 18: The Illusionist (Mira)

Tait and Mira enter an abandoned, overgrown village surrounded by creeping moss and wattle cottages. The air grows unnaturally heavy, casting an oppressive weight over their limbs.

Investigating the ruins, they discover scattered piles of human and fae bones hidden beneath dull vines. Realizing the village was wiped out by a dark force that still haunts the island, Tait insists they gather supplies and leave immediately.

Chapter 19: The Heartwalker (Tait)

They salvage tools, spades, waterskins, and a dusty leather-bound tome written in Old-World script from the cottages. Mira reveals she can read Old-World tongue because her mother comes from the oldest earth fae bloodline.

Translating the tome, Mira learns the village was an ancient trade settlement that traded herbs with beings called “children of the gods.” The final entry describes how the village elder brought back a caged gift from the deep Far Seas, leading to disaster and the words: strik kommer.

They locate a half-submerged skiff by the pond and begin taking it apart to rebuild a sturdy boat.

Chapter 20: The Illusionist (Mira)

While cooking seared fish over the campfire, Mira asks Tait about his childhood in the Ever palace. Tait reveals his tragic past: after Thorvald forced Erik to kill his own mother, Harald hunted down and murdered Tait’s mother as well.

Mira offers gentle sympathy, sharing how her father Ari sailed on the Ever Ship to rescue young Erik. When Mira mentions how her father began hating Tait’s house, Tait’s trauma flares.

He throws his food into the fire and storms off to sleep in isolation.

Chapter 21: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Tait wakes from fitful nightmares and sees ten notches carved into their cavern wall, marking ten days on the island. He finds Mira weeping on the shore over wreckage from the Sea Void, including the body of their crewman Boneseer.

Mira insists on holding a funeral ceremony; Tait opens up and shares how Boneseer protected him from Harald’s beatings as a boy.

They build a funeral pyre on the beach, burning Boneseer’s body while whispering “Tills vi ses igen.” Tait softly addresses Mira as “my friend” for the first time.

Chapter 22: The Illusionist (Mira)

Mira reassures Tait that he should feel no shame for his father’s evil actions. Tait asks why she refuses to say his given name, but she responds that they must break down more emotional walls first.

They continue working together on the skiff, sharing food and playful banter. Mira notices that Tait’s stoic demeanor is completely melting away, leaving her hopelessly in love with him.

Chapter 23: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Tait reflects on his growing desire for Mira and how her presence calms his internal darkness. He delivers a severed yellowfin fish head into her palm as a joke “for her revenge,” making her laugh brightly.

At the freshwater pond, Mira asks Tait to help unlace her chemise; as his hands touch her smooth skin, intense physical attraction surges between them.

A crack of thunder jolts them apart before things progress further, reminding them of the approaching storm.

Chapter 24: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Tait wakes up holding Mira’s hand, realizing that for the first time in his life, he slept through the night without nightmares or touch-aversion. They rush to finish patching the skiff as dark storm clouds roll over the Far Seas.

Tait admits to himself that Mira has become an irreplaceable anchor in his life, breaking through decades of emotional isolation.

Chapter 25: The Illusionist (Mira)

Warm torrential rain bursts from the sky, forcing Tait and Mira to take shelter in a seaside alcove. Sitting together, Tait shares happy childhood memories of hiding in the shadow realm with Celine and Gavyn.

Mira realizes that Sewell, Gavyn’s father, survived in secret under King Erik’s protection after Harald’s tyranny. Intimacy builds between them, leading to passionate kisses as Mira declares that Tait’s heart and body are her newest obsessions.

Chapter 26: The Illusionist (Mira)

Storm winds wash up more wreckage, including Seableeder’s embossed waterskin. Tait reveals his “sea voice” magic allows him to feel that Seableeder and other crewmen are still alive out in the Far Seas.

As they prepare to sail, Mira gently presses Tait about his lingering touch trauma. Tait breaks down and admits the horrifying truth: Harald allowed wealthy, abusive nobles who paid him to use young Tait.

Chapter 27: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Furious and heartbroken, Mira kneels before Tait, vowing to murder every noble who touched him. Tait reveals that King Erik Bloodsinger already systematically tracked down and assassinated every single noble who abused him.

Relieved of his deepest secret, Tait looks at Mira with complete trust, realizing she accepts him entirely.

He takes her in his arms, initiating a passionate night of total physical union.

Chapter 28: The Illusionist (Mira)

Mira and Tait spend the night in passionate union, with Tait shedding all his guarded armor. On the seventeenth morning, they bid farewell to Boneseer’s pyre and drag their reconstructed skiff into the water.

Cursed black sand latches onto their legs to drag them back, but they hack through the bindings and row into the open sea.

Chapter 29: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Navigating by the Voidwalker constellation, Tait guides their small skiff across the unfamiliar Far Seas. Mira hums sea shanties and keeps their spirits high, even as their food rations run out.

They discuss their future together, with Mira assuring Tait that her court and family will accept him. On the third night at sea, Tait spots lantern lights from an unknown ship approaching in the darkness.

Chapter 30: The Illusionist (Mira)

Tait wakes Mira and draws his blade as the unknown vessel aligns with their skiff. The ship belongs to a clan called Eilifur, led by a mortal named Osatt who offers food, rest, and guidance toward the Ever.

Though Tait senses no overt malice, he remains deeply suspicious. Out of food and options, they agree to accept Eilifur’s hospitality for one night.

Chapter 31: The Heartwalker (Tait)

The Eilifur ship passes through a magical sea-mist veil into a hidden fortress built into dark seaside cliffs. They meet King Djur, his sea-witch wife Lena, his daughter Zara, and his brother Parek.

They also meet Eeva, a quiet woman called “the Veri” or Veri Ikuinen, whose magic causes Eilifur’s golden crops to grant long life. Osatt drunkenly boasts that Eeva keeps the mortals alive and warns that anyone trying to take her will be killed.

Chapter 32: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Tension flares at the banquet table following Osatt’s threat, but King Djur smooths over the outburst. Eeva explains her Veri magic infuses food with health and vitality, prolonging lifespans.

Parek escorts Tait and Mira to a private chamber fed by a natural cold spring. Once alone, Tait uses his sea voice to walk through hearts and discovers a shocking reality: his crewman Swordeater is trapped in Eilifur.

Chapter 33: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Tait wakes Mira at dawn, realizing Eilifur has cast a spell of complacent contentment over them using the golden fruit. They sneak out and follow Swordeater’s heartbeat down into the dungeon below the Head House.

They find Swordeater, Nightseer, and Seableeder chained in a dark cell; Windswayer, Fireweaver, and Boneseer are dead or betrayed. Swordeater reveals that Windswayer betrayed them to Eilifur, and the mortals drain fae magic to fuel their longevity.

Mortal guards catch them in the dungeon, and a bloody fight erupts.

Chapter 34: The Illusionist (Mira)

Mira uses Tait’s knife to kill attacking guards while Tait fights with brutal efficiency. They free Swordeater, Nightseer, and the feverish Seableeder from their iron chains.

The traitor Windswayer appears with King Djur; Windswayer traded the crew’s freedom in exchange for keeping Mira as a captive. Disgusted by Windswayer’s treason, Mira crushes his bones with her glamour magic, killing him.

They escape to a rowboat and row into the open sea, finally crossing back into the familiar waters of the Ever Seas.

Chapter 35: The Illusionist (Mira)

They arrive at the Tower tavern near the Ice Fjords, where they are reunited with Sander Eriksson and Gavyn. Sander and Gavyn embrace Mira and Tait in relief, having scoured the seas for weeks alongside Ari and Saga Sekundär.

Blister Poppy, the master boneweaver, takes charge of healing Seableeder’s infected leg and providing fresh clothes and food.

Tait and Mira take a room at the back of the Tower, sharing a bath and gentle romance after surviving their ordeal.

Chapter 36: The Illusionist (Mira)

After resting, Mira and Tait meet with Sander, Gavyn, Nightseer, and Swordeater in the Tower’s upper council chamber. Sander explains that King Ari and Queen Saga are searching nearby borders and Celine Tidecaller has been notified.

King Erik Bloodsinger arrives at the Tower; he mourns the losses of his crewmen and hears the full story of Eilifur and the Far Seas. Sander reveals ancient legends of the Veri Ikuinen, warning that in old myths, Veri were dangerous blood-drinkers.

Chapter 37: The Illusionist (Mira)

Sander, Gavyn, Jonas, and Skadi set sail for the Glass Isles to research Veri lore, while the rest prepare to sail to the Royal City. Livia Ferus meets Mira, expressing deep relief that Mira is alive and teasing her about her romance with Tait.

Celine Tidecaller arrives in a fiery rush, embracing Mira and admitting her relief before demanding all the romantic details.

Chapter 38: The Heartwalker (Tait)

On the Tower balcony, Tait looks up at the stars and reflects on his deep love for Mira. King Erik joins Tait on the balcony; the cousins share a long-overdue moment of emotional reconciliation regarding their traumatic past and Harald’s abuse.

Erik asks how Tait plans to tell King Ari Sekundär that he bedded his daughter. Returning to their room, Mira playfully admits her “love” for Blister Poppy’s salves before genuinely confessing her love for Tait.

Chapter 39: The Illusionist (Mira)

Tait and Mira share passionate lovemaking in their room, affirming their devotion. They board the Ever Ship to sail to the Royal City; Sewell Fleshripper cooks for the crew and acts as a father figure.

At the Royal City study, Mira nervously awaits her parents’ arrival. King Ari and Queen Saga burst into the room; in emotional embraces, they hold Mira close.

King Ari banteringly accepts Tait, no longer calling him “Harald’s son” but treating him as part of House Sekundär.

Chapter 40: The Heartwalker (Tait)

In Tait’s chambers, Alistair announces a royal banquet to celebrate their return. At the cove, Mira communicates via sea witch magic with her cousin Aleksi Bror-Ferus and the Night Folk.

King Ari Sekundär speaks privately with Tait, apologizing for judging him by his father’s actions and honoring Tait’s merit. Tait asks Ari to recount how Ari and Saga killed Davorin the dark fae during the war.

Chapter 41: The Illusionist (Mira)

Mira and Tait share peaceful intimacy in the cove adjacent to his chambers, reflecting on their journey. The next morning, Skadi, Sander, Jonas, and Lady Avaline Mindtaker arrive with research findings on the Veri Ikuinen.

Sander explains that Veri magic grants immortality and life extension through blood, but Eeva was being exploited by Eilifur. They realize The Summons shanty was an ancient spell that allowed Eilifur to drag lost ships across borders.

Erik vows that Eilifur will never invade the Ever Seas.

Chapter 42: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Tavish Spellbreaker and sea witches from the House of Mists arrive to place protective warding spells around the Ever boundaries. Mira organizes a grand celebration feast at the palace to honor their return and Seableeder’s recovery.

The court gathers for dancing, music, and merriment; Erik guards his throne while Livia’s throne is decorated with ribbons. Late at night, a sea witch summons Tait outside, stating that Gavyn has urgent news at the shore.

As Tait walks down the cliff staircase, King Djur, Lena, and mortal guards ambush him, capturing him.

Chapter 43: The Illusionist (Mira)

In the ballroom, Livia feels the earth’s pain as the cove is violated. King Ari rushes in, revealing that Queen Saga shifted into a raven to follow Tait’s abductors into the Far Seas.

Erik hands Mira Tait’s pocket watch, which broke and signaled danger when Tait was taken. The Ever Crew, Night Folk, and alvers immediately mobilize their fleet to sail into the Far Seas to rescue Tait and Saga.

Chapter 44: The Illusionist (Mira)

The Ever Ship speeds through turbulent Far Seas propelled by Erik’s blood magic and sea witch songs. On deck, Celine spots Queen Saga’s raven form flying back from Eilifur.

Saga shifts back on deck, exhausted and injured, revealing that Eilifur captured Tait to complete a blood ritual cycle of three fae. Saga warns that if they don’t strike immediately, Tait will not survive the night.

Chapter 45: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Bound onboard Djur’s ship, Tait learns that Eilifur lures fae to their island using warding nets and The Summons. Djur reveals he slaughtered Lena’s original sea witch village to monopolize Eeva’s Veri magic.

They return to Eilifur, where Djur drags Tait to the withered golden garden. Djur forces Eeva to drink Tait’s blood to trigger her feral, blood-drinking transformation.

Eeva’s eyes turn red and yellow, her fangs extend, but she desperately screams at Tait to run.

Chapter 46: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Eeva attacks, but fights her own bloodlust enough to give Tait time to scramble away toward the garden gate. Meanwhile, the Ever fleet arrives off Eilifur’s coast, led by Tavish Spellbreaker and sea witches who shatter Lena’s warding mists.

King Ari, Erik Bloodsinger, Jonas, Skadi, Gavyn, and Sander storm Eilifur’s shores in a wave of bloodthirsty fury. Mira and Gavyn split off from the main battle to climb the cliff staircase and rescue Tait.

Chapter 47: The Illusionist (Mira)

Mira and Gavyn fight their way up the cliff staircase, joined by Sander who kills a guard attacking Mira from behind. They reach the golden garden, where Mira uses her glamour magic to create an illusion of swarming, biting insects to distract the feral Eeva.

Sander crouches down and allows Eeva to bite his neck, using his blood to calm her feral state until she passes out in his arms. Gavyn cuts Tait’s bindings; Tait reveals that Eeva was an innocent victim manipulated by Lena and Djur.

Sander carries the sleeping Eeva to Gavyn’s ship to keep her safe from Eilifur.

Chapter 48: The Illusionist (Mira)

The Ever forces crush Eilifur’s mortal army in the village square; Erik Bloodsinger and Ari Sekundär kill King Djur, reducing him to ash. Lena attempts to flee down a back path, but Tait and Mira corner her.

Mira and Tait execute Lena, severing her head to end her dark warding spells forever.

Chapter 49: The Heartwalker (Tait)

Standing over Lena’s corpse, Tait and Mira share a passionate embrace and kiss, celebrating their survival. Tait takes Lena’s head as a trophy, returning with Mira to the village square.

Queen Livia addresses the surviving mortals of Eilifur, offering them relocation to the Ever under fae rule. The Ever fleet evacuates the mortals and sets fire to Eilifur, burning the island fortress to ash.

Chapter 50: The Illusionist (Mira)

On the return voyage, the Ever fleet sails back across the boundary into the Royal City harbor. Aleksi Bror-Ferus and Rave warriors meet them at the docks, celebrating their total victory.

In private, Eeva examines Lena’s glass talisman, realizing it contained an evigt stone with five drops of her blood used by Lena to control her mind. With Lena’s death, the mind-control spell breaks, freeing Eeva completely.

Eeva is welcomed as a guest and friend of the Ever and earth fae realms.

Chapter 51: The Illusionist (Mira)

At the Royal City palace, King Erik convenes a grand council with all house lords, ladies, and visiting royalty. Erik officially decrees that Tait Heartwalker is named Lord of the House of Kings and first mate of the Ever.

Furthermore, Erik alters the ancient blood crown enchantments: if Erik and Livia pass without direct heirs, the royal succession passes to Lord Tait Heartwalker and his line as the second royal house.

All noble lords and ladies add their blood to the crown, establishing a new era of unity and justice.

Chapter 52: The Illusionist (Mira)

Mira and Tait share passionate intimacy in his royal wing, celebrating his new title and their bright future. They discuss balancing their duties between the Glamour Fae Kingdom and the Ever Seas.

Eeva watches the ball quietly, while Prince Sander Eriksson watches her from across the room. In Part 2, Sander enters the study with a stack of books and custom bespelled spectacles for Eeva crafted by his uncle Niklas.

He presents the spectacles to Eeva, who squeals in delight as they perfectly fit her eyes and won’t slip. Sander sits beside her on the sofa to read together, quietly vowing to protect her and stay by her side as her story begins.
